Automatic reverse thrust and spoilers during manual landing
Often it is desirable to operate reverse thrust and spoilers immediately after ground contact with the landing runway.
This prevents the plane from "hopping" into the air again and helps to make the deceleration of the aircraft smooth and comfortable.
In addition, the distance that the aircraft need for a full stop on runway will be as short as possible.
Method:
Press the ARM button on the AP panel before manual landing.
Make sure you have enabled auto reverse thrust in "General Options".
Result:
After groundcontact FSXPilot will set the spoilers immediately and reverse thrust 2 seconds later.
When reaching taxi speed, spoilers are retracted and reverse thrust is finished.
This function will not perform autobraking.
CAVE:
Only useful in heavy metal.
Not operable in helicopters.
