You may want to fly a short recurring pattern several times and concentrate on other things. 


Examples for this are: 


Ridge soaring (always fly the same pattern back and forth)

Flightseeing (fly around a monument) 


For this purpose, FSXPilot allows PRO users to "drop" temporary waypoints. The waypoints are named ".1", ".2", ".3" ...


Method: 


Open the quickselect menu and simply "drop" your waypoints. Watch the dropped waypoint on the EFIS. 

If you have dropped enough, select from "Commute between dropped waypoints" and "Flightseeing dropped waypoints". 

  





The difference is simple (assume you have dropped four waypoints): 


"Commute" flies back and forth between the waypoints: 4-3-2-1-2-3-4-3-2-1 ...


"Flightseeing" goes around the waypoints  1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4 ...


Once started, the procedure goes on forever. 


You can always exit the function by entering a new heading and press the HDG button or press CTRL + Space key (stabilizer).
